This
production was staged at the Holy Trinity Church Hall in
Wealdstone - with the proceeds going to the S.O.S. Children's
Villages charity - but was a production that very nearly didn't
happen! It had originally gone into production in July 1972, but
when the group was unable to book a suitable date at their
regular venue of St.Alban's Church Hall, North Harrow, the
frantic search for another hall was started. After an aborted
attempt to stage the production in August at the Roxeth Centre -
[no licence to stage public performances!] - rehearsals were
stopped and only restarted at the beginning of the year when Holy
Trinity agreed to let the Young Theatre perform at their church
hall.
