John Sharman
Sadly, we have to report that John Sharman died peacefully on Thursday, 17th
October after a period of poor health. Over the years, John was very
much involved on a number of different levels with YT. He was a founder
member (his membership number was B.006!) and provided valuable
technical support and encouragement when the Beaconsfield group was set
up in 1970. He was also of course married to Helen for 44 years (their
wedding reception was in Dudley Zoo!) and father to Peter and Becky; he
had little opportunity to escape the clutches of YT!!
In addition to John's
continuing support of the group, he participated in a number of YT
productions, notably:
Tale of Two Cities (1994),
The Crucible (1995) and Alice (2004). He also took part in What Greater Glory (2018) for
Shared Intent and was also actively involved with Beaconsfield Theatre
Group over the years.
Our sympathies are naturally with Helen,
Peter and Becky at this sad time.
The funeral will be held at Green Acres, Potkiln Lane, Jordans HP9 2XB at 10.30 on Nov 8. Dress Code - As you like it.
No flowers please, donations to Macmillan. [More…] (added 21 October)

NODA Awards
From Tom McGrath: “We have won two NODA district awards for productions from last season, we now to go the Regional Final to see if we can win there too. The awards are: The Young Stars Award for Best Youth Production for James and the Giant Peach (proud director!); The Harvey Kesselman Comedy Award for Tom McGrath as Bestiality Carter in Lords and Ladies (surprised actor!)
